On August 29th, we will be heading down to the court house followed by family and friends to finalize Steven's adoption of Ashton! It has been a long process. We want to thank all of you who wrote recommendation letters and all of you willing to come and show the Judge your support.
Ashton and Steven are excited about finalizing the adoption. Ashton has been practicing how to write Lawrence.
We are having a party that evening to celebrate at our home. So for those of you not leaving town for the holiday come on by and celebrate with us!
Update...
This morning Judge Irby granted the adoption of Ashton by Steven. We were quite happy as you can see from our photos. It was a fairly quick process with brief testimony given by Steven and myself. I want to thank Shannon for coming and showing her support. She was kind enough to take pictures for us. Looking forward to seeing our friends and loved ones this evening!
We had a nice gathering of friends and family at our house to celebrate our family. Thank you to everyone for coming, those both pictured and not, you are so wonderful and we love you very much!
John Hill and John Dillman came by for a bite and some soccer fun with the boys.
Both of my brothers made an appearance, which was very nice, so I had to get a picture. Having them both in the same room doesn't happen very often.
Shannon and Scott came and I think I finally got a picture for that empty frame in their hallway!
My Grandma Bea came from Ontario and spent the night. So the boys were excited about a sleep over with Grandma.
The night ended with lots of Daddy tourture as only two little boys can do!
