Happy Holidays!

Happy Christmas everyone!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with our extended family. We hope all of you did as well. My sweet nephew was the center of attention this year as he is too cute not to want to smoother with kisses and hugs!

The kids had a blast playing with cousins and eating tons of sweets.

We even got some great family and generation pictures!

This shot is my favorite! Autumn you are awesome and I had so much fun talking with you. Congrats on the new house! We are so excited for you guys!

Hope you all had as great a Christmas as we did.

From our family to yours happy holidays!

Candy Canes and Christmas Trees!

We are missing the snow! Here is the house all covered in a blanket of white. We were missing a Christmas tree to really set the mood. So this is our fourth year of going to the same lot. It's all about candy canes and Christmas trees!

We have a winner!Lights, Camera, Action!
Thad played a little song for us after our decorating extravaganza. He loves playing the piano. He totally has the musician bug just like Daddy.

Happy Holidays!

Christmas Celebration

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from our celebration.

Christmas Eve we went to Nampa and had a nice gathering with family at the Meyers home. As always it was covered with lights. We all know that Papa Butch pulls out all the stops at Christmas. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the outside. By the time we left the snow was blowing hard with no sign of letting up!

Christmas Day we spent together at home snuggled in under a blanket of snow.

Thank you to all of our family and friends for sharing your time with us. Happy Holidays to you and yours!

O Christmas Tree!

I think you will all love this video of the boys at the Christmas tree lot! I am still laughing over it!

Every year we go to "The Elves Christmas Forest" to pick out a Christmas tree. In keeping with this tradition we brought the red rocket to aid us in our search.

Here are the boys showing that pickin' a tree is serious business! I think they look more like the Candy Cane Mafia!

Next we had to get the tree in the house, give it a drink, and start decorating! We think it turned out very nice.

Here is the worst family photo ever! But I had to add it as it is just too funny not to!

Happy Holidays everyone!

Ode to Pie!

This is the first year I have made a pie. So in celebrating my achievement I give you my Thanksgiving Ode to Pie!

For it is so sweet,

It makes my heart beat
Every time I hear it's name!

The urge to eat is strong

Every time it comes along...

It smells so delicious,

It makes me ambitious
To take a fork to its core!

The taste is incredible,

So delectably edible...

The spices entice me
To consume this specialty--

in its entirety!

I am not going to lie...
I don't love just any pie.

To tell you somethin':
It has to be PUMPKIN!

Here I am in the kitchen figuring out how to make crust. My handy hubby ground fresh wheat, so I thought the crust was not only awesome but also very nutritious!

This picture was just too cute that I couldn't leave it out!

Thank you Grandma Shannie for a wonderful Thanksgiving!
